When a house on a septic tank or cesspool backs up, there are two possibilities: the line from the house is clogged, or the system itself is full or failing. We clear the line, which tells you which one it is.
What we do
- Clear the house drain line from the house to an existing septic tank
- Clear kitchen, bath and laundry lines that feed it
- Repair the drain line inside the house
What we don't do
- No septic system installs. We don't install septic tanks, leaching systems or advanced treatment systems.
- No cesspool work of any kind. We don't pump, repair, replace or abandon cesspools.
- No septic tank pumping
How it works
- Clear the line. If water goes down once the line is clear, the problem was the line.
- If it still won't drain, the tank or the system is full or failing. That's a job for a cesspool or septic contractor, and we tell you so.
Cesspools and septic on Long Island
Much of our area isn't sewered. Laying Suffolk County's sewer-district map over the Census boundary shows essentially none of Brentwood in a county sewer district, and Nassau County's health department lists communities such as Muttontown as not publicly sewered. Suffolk County says about 250,000 of its cesspools pre-date its 1973 rule requiring septic tanks on new construction, and since July 1, 2019, a failed cesspool can't be replaced with another cesspool; a conventional septic system is the minimum.
